FILM: The Pirelli Calendar 2011 by Karl Lagerfeld
Watch the full length film of the Making of the Pirelli Calendar 2011 shot by photographer Karl Lagerfeld. "Mythology" is the theme of the calendar as Lagerfeld was inspired by Greek mythology and cast his models as gods and goddesses. As Daria Werbowy admits in the film "..you have to be a warrior to be a model..and we are kind of like unearthly human beings".
The 2011 Pirelli Calendar was shot at Lagerfeld's studio in Paris and features supermodels Daria Werbowy, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Ana Rubik, Erin Wasson, Isabeli Fontana, Lara Stone, Magdalena Frackowiak, Brad Kroenig, Baptiste Giabiconi, Heidi Mount, Elisa Sednoui, Freja Beha, Iris Strubegger, Jack Davies, Bianca Balti, Garrett Neff, Jeneil Williams, Natasha Poly and Lakshmi Menon. Tom Ford Spring 2011 Fashion Show
The king is back! Watch Tom Ford's debut Women's Ready to Wear collection for Spring 2011 featuring Beyoncé, Rita Wilson, Lauren Hutton and some of the world's hottest supermodels including Natalia Vodianova and Daria Werbowy.
Tom Ford's ultra private, invitation-only debut show was the talk of New York Fashion Week and was strictly off-limits to the press, no photographers or video cameras were allowed to document the event. The reason for all the secrecy? Ford told Harper's Bazaar that the immediacy of the web dulls the consumer's interest in the clothes, "by the time they get to the store they're overexposed, they've lost their freshness". As you will see this is definitely one collection worth waiting for.
