Chanel Spring 2014 Haute Couture by Karl Lagerfeld

“No jewelry, no handbags, no gloves, this was all about attitude and silhouette, shape and cuts”, Karl Lagerfeld gives us an inside look at his Chanel Spring 2014 Haute Couture Collection in Paris. Cara Delevingne opened the Chanel show wearing sporty running shoes with her gorgeous couture gown – a look that is so modern, so cool and so now.

The Chanel Spring 2014 Couture collection was stunning, but it was those sporty, glittery running shoes that everyone was talking about after the show. As Karl explains, “it gives a new modern attitude about Couture”.

The Chanel running shoes took over 30 hours to make and according to British Vogue will only be sold with the full couture outfit. A spokesperson for Chanel told British Vogue “They are only available as part of the Haute Couture look. However, we always have similar versions in our commercial and ready-to-wear collections,” meaning that you will be able to get your hands on the lust worthy trainers – or very similar – at Chanel stockists worldwide this spring. Malaika opened and closed the Valentino Spring 2014 fashion show in Paris, and now is featured in this is stunning campaign photographed by Craig McDean with hair by Orlando Pita and makeup by Lucia Pieroni.

It seems the fashion world can’t seem to get enough of Malaika Firth. The 19 year old British model from Kenya already stars in the Spring 2014 campaigns for Burberry Prorsum and Prada and also walked in the 2013 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.

This young star in the making, who has been called the “next Naomi Campbell” has a huge career ahead. She is a stunning beauty who is gracious and is so proud of her mixed race roots. Malaika told us backstage in Paris “I have this mix in me and I’m so proud to be a mixed race. I think alot of mix race girls out there are insecure about their color and they should be proud and happy that they are both”.

MALAIKA FIRTH is one of the new faces in Burberry’s Spring Summer 2014 campaign, perfectly capturing next season’s “distinctly English mood,” designer Christopher Bailey said. Malaika Firth and model Jean Campbell appear alongside young British talent from the worlds of music and film, including Jamie Campbell Bower, Leo Dobson, Matilda Lowther, Neelam Johal and Callum Ball. The exciting news was announced today on British Vogue’s website.

Go backstage at DSquared2 Spring 2014 with Dean and Dan Caten, Lindsey Wixson, Catherine McNeil and Josephine Skriver at one of the hottest fashion shows at Milan Fashion Week.

was the name designers Dean and Dan Caten gave to their 50’s beach party themed show. The set for the DSquared2 Spring 2014 show was a Polynesian paradise complete with a sand runway, “we’re storytellers, we’re showmen and this is what gets us going” they said about their high production spectacle.

Makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury gave the models a gorgeous goddess glow and finished the look with Morange lipstick by Mac. Hair stylist Sam McKnight used plenty of Pantene Volume hair spray to create 50’s inspired bouffant “Americana” hairdos.
