Roberto Cavalli Spring 2012 Ad Campaign features four iconic models – Naomi Campbell, Karen Elson, Kristen McMenamy and Daphne Groeneveld.
Steven Meisel shot the campaign at Pier 59 studios in New York, in a simple backdrop that kept the focus on the printed silk dresses and the hand embroidered glittering pieces that look more like couture than ready to wear.
The inspiration behind all that decadent gold? As Creative Director Eva Cavalli explained to us backstage at the Roberto Cavalli Spring 2012 Fashion Show in Milan, the collection is about optimism – “we wanted to make shine this world that sometimes very dark“.
