Pat McGrath, the world’s hottest makeup artist shows us how to get the flawless look of Valentino Fall 2013 backstage at Paris Fashion Week. Pat is Max Factor Global Cosmetics Design Director and in one season she creates some of the most directional makeup looks at New York, Milan and Paris collections. We were grated exclusive access to film Pat backstage at Valentino, one of the most important shows at Paris fashion week.

As Pat explained to us backstage, “It’s inspired by portraiture of a young girl,” McGrath said of the soft, romantic beauty look (Vermeer’s “Girl With a Pearl Earring” was on the designers’ inspiration board). The key to the beauty look was “flawless, perfected skin“, one of the key beauty trends for Fall. Pat used MaxFactor Whipped Creme foundation (comes out September 2013) which gives a demi-matte finish to the skin and kept the rest of the look simple.
