Chanel SS16 Backstage Karl Lagerfeld, Cara Delevingne

Chanel Spring Summer 2016 backstage with Karl Lagerfeld and supermodel Cara Delevingne in Paris. For Spring 2016 Karl Lagerfeld transformed the Grand Palais into a magnificent mock Chanel Airport complete with a baggage check, numbered gates, an arrivals board and baggage carts with double-C logos. Backstage post-show Karl explained why he was inspired by airports and the love of travel –

“…even for expensive Ready-to-Wear and high fashion, you have to be inspired by daily life, clothes have to fit with the life of today, we are not creating something living in an ivory tower that has no relationship to reality “

We are in love with Karl’s airport themed collection – especially all the chic accessories including the new Chanel “Coco Cabin Case” and the light up Velcro sandals. The beauty look at the show was all about the eyes – models came out wearing electric blue eyeshadow or giant mirrored sunglasses. For his finale bow Karl came out with his seven-year-old godson Hudson Kroenig (who was dressed as a pilot) and supermodel Cara Delevingne who is one of Karl’s favorite models and close personal friend. “Fantastic, so modern, so fresh, so edgy and strong – I love his clothes“, supermodel Isabeli Fontana said backstage at Anthony Vaccarello Fall 2013 show in Paris. Isabeli is not alone in her adoration of the 31 year old Belgian born, Paris designer who is redefining what ‘sexy’ means in the 21st century.

In the past year Anthony Vaccarello has dressed some of the world’s most beautiful women. Supermodel Gisele Bundchen wore his black chain-mail mini to the Met Gala and Jennifer Lopez made international headlines wearing one of his provocative gowns to the Golden Globe Awards.

Everything about Anthony Vaccarello’s sexy, rebellious Fall Winter 2013 Collection is perfection from the the metallic chain mail dresses, to the impossibly cool boots and shoe he designed in collaboration with Stella Luna.

Backstage after his show Anthony explains his Fall 2013 Collection is not punk inspired, but rather “a 60’s mood seen through a 90’s eye”. The beauty look Tom Pecheux Estee Lauder’s Creative Director of Makeup created perfectly captured that spirit. Tom used two new wine metallic lip colors – Estee Lauder Pure Color Vivid Shine in Hot Lava and Plum Couture on the lips giving the models a look of sensuality and toughness.

Hair stylist Anthony Turner, styling ambassador for L’Oreal Professionnel wanted to create a “punky version of elegance” and used L’Oreal Volume Architect throughout the hair to create effortless updo like the “girl just did it herself “.

Get the chic beauty look of Anthony Vaccarello Fall 2013 by makeup artist Tom Pecheux and hair stylist Anthony Turner. The look is very french and gave alot of power to the women who walked in the show including top models Liu Wen, Isabeli Fontana, Magdelena Frackowiak and Karmen Pedaru.

Tom Pecheux Creative Makeup Director for Estée Lauder decided to give the models very monochrome look playing with lots of vino rosso colors. He used two new wine lip colors by Estee Lauder – Plum Couture and Hot Lava – (they’ll be in store this September). As Tom explained to me backstage “I am trying to create a girl who has alot of sensuality in the eyes – but who has alot of toughness and character in the lips. It’s very french and gives alot of power to the woman“.

Two of the hottest faces in fashion have just signed with cosmetic giant Estée Lauder.

France’s Constance Jablonski and China’s Liu Wen represent the new face of beauty for the 21st century according to Aerin Lauder, Senior Vice President and Creative Director of Estée Lauder. What makes this major news is the first time Lauder has signed models from either country. Both models are represented by the Marilyn Agency in New York.

“Estée Lauder has always searched for global beauties that define a generation. Constance and Liu Wen are the beauties of our time. Both models have quickly captured the attention of the fashion and beauty world,” said Aerin Lauder, Senior Vice President and Creative Director of Estée Lauder.

Constance is originally from Lille, France, and she was the hottest star of the Fall 2010 Collections. She walked in a staggering 62 shows in New York, Milan and Paris. The stunning blonde is also a favorite of the editorial fashion world, with recent appearances in Allure, W, and American, British, French and Italian and Chinese issues of Vogue.

Liu Wen was born in Beijing, China, and started her career on the pages of Chinese Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. Liu was also a catwalk favorite this season walking a total of 49 shows for the Fall 2010 season, including Roberto Cavalli, Chanel, Givenchy, Dior and Balenciaga.
