Supermodel Karlie Kloss gives us an exclusive look at Jason Wu Spring 2014 backstage at New York Fashion Week. “I want women to feel beautiful, adored and like a million dollars“, Jason Wu said moments after the show. That’s exactly how Karlie Kloss said she felt in the stunning finale dress which was “wedding worthy” and one of the most beautiful gowns she’s ever worn.

The Spring 2014 collection is classic Jason Wu – sophisticated, young and chic. Hair stylist Odile Gilbert‘s slick ponytail gave the models a modern, polished edge. Makeup artist Diane Kendal’s smoky gold, “show stopping” glittery eye perfectly complimented the soft, sand colored clothes. As Jason explained “it felt like all the jewelry she needed – less is more“. This is the second season Jason Wu has collaborated with Lancome USA to produce a limited edition makeup collection based on the look of his show which is available at Saks Fifth Avenue.

The Balmain girl for Spring 2014 is sporty and relaxed, and the look is all about reality which explains why the hair look by Sam McKnight and makeup look by Tom Pecheux was so minimal. As designer Olivier Rousteing explained after the show “my goal was showing the reality of this girl at 9am – the girl has to feel good, hot and cool and relaxed in every piece that they wear”.

Go backstage with supermodel Karlie Kloss for the making of ‘Prodigy’ her first L’Oreal Paris TV campaign. The TV spot for Prodigy, a new hair color line currently only available in France also features top models Lara Stone, Liya Kebede, Alexina Graham, Izabel Goulart and Eniko Mihalik.

At 21, Karlie Kloss is already at the top of the fashion industry. She has walked in every top runway show from Michael Kors to Chanel and also a Victoria’s Secret Angel. This is the first time the all-American beauty has worked with L’Oreal Paris and we’re sure it won’t be her last. Two weeks ago the company released images on their Instagram and Twitter with the words “more to come”.

FENDI Fall 2013 Backstage ft Cara Delevingne

Get an exclusive look backstage at Fendi Fall 2013 with designer Karl Lagerfeld and top models Cara Delevingne, Karlie Kloss and Daphne Groeneveld. “It’s 21st century punk revisited” Karl Lagerfeld said backstage after the stunning show.

Kiki Montrparnasse, the french model and actress was the inspiration for the beauty look makeup artist Peter Philips created. Peter went for a deep purple on the lip and used Chanel Le Rouge Velvet lipstick in “La Provecante” and Chanel Vendeta on the nails to give the models “a rebelious, chic, sophisticated look”. Sam McKnight gave all the models a mohawk braid and then added a piece of dyed fox fur on top for a dramatic effect. The models looked so cool and had a savage, almost Mad Max look about them.

This Fendi collection by Karl Lagerfeld was brilliant and it all came perfectly together with the soundtrack by Michel Gaubert featuring the track “Take Me Baby” by Jimi Tenor. Michael Kors Fall Winter 2013 Collection is sexy, athletic and chic. As Michael explained backstage just moments before his show at New York Fashion week, “If you live an urban life it’s like being an athlete – life is fast and it’s all about movement. I really wanted to combine the quintessential uptown polish of NY, Paris and London and merge that with this athleticism, because why not have it all”.

The beauty look of Michael Kors Fall 2013 was inspired by the modern, graphic mood of the collection. Dick Page, Shiseido The Makeup Artistic Director, used a golden champagne eye shadow from the limited-edition Shiseido Eye Color Bar palette (which comes out this Fall) along the models’ cheekbones for a fresh glow, and to showcase the dramatic eye. The lip was a mix of the same pink cream shadow and Shiseido Perfect Rouge Lipstick in Fantasia. The high ponytail that Orlando Pita gave the models was 50’s meets 90’s – he wrapped latex around the base to give the sleek, bouncy ponytails an edge of sexiness.
