As Isabel Marant’s recent capsule collection for H&M just proved, the world has become obsessed with the Parisian designer’s rock-chic, bohemian take on style. The starting point of her Isabel Marant’s Spring 2014 Collection was toughness, fragility with a touch of romance. Soft pink and white feminine dresses, black leather shorts and pants – along with some of the coolest new booties and sandals are sure to be a hit this summer. The beauty look of the show by hair stylist Didier Maliage and makeup artist Christelle Coquet was fresh and natural. It’s the preferred look for Isabel Marant who doesn’t wear much makeup herself. Marant says the secret to beauty is self confidence and that “happiness makes you look pretty”.

“I want to do the biggest party and make it super joyful” Isabel Marant said moments before her party for her Isabel Marant for H&M Collection kicked off in Paris last night. Actress Freida Pinto, January Jones, Audrey Tautou, Olga Kurylenko, and top model Alex Wek were just a few of the celebrity guests who joined Marant at the Tennis Club de Paris to celebrate the launch of her capsule collection that hits H&M stores worldwide on November 14th.

The bohemian style party had a 90’s atmosphere with live music performance by Grandmaster Melle Mel and Rappers Delight, originally of Sugarhill Gang. Isabel Marant grew up in Paris and explained that she wanted that kind of a vibe for the party because “I love urban rap – it’s what I grew up on and I thought it would be fun to share this”.
