Watch the full length film of the Making of  the Pirelli Calendar 2011 shot by photographer Karl Lagerfeld. “Mythology” is the theme of the calendar as Lagerfeld was inspired by Greek mythology and cast his models as gods and goddesses.

As Daria Werbowy admits in the film “you have to be a warrior to be a model..and we are kind of like unearthly human beings“.

The 2011 Pirelli Calendar was shot at Lagerfeld’s studio in Paris and features supermodels Daria Werbowy, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Ana Rubik, Erin Wasson, Isabeli Fontana, Lara Stone, Magdalena Frackowiak, Brad Kroenig, Baptiste Giabiconi, Heidi Mount, Elisa Sednoui, Freja Beha, Iris Strubegger, Jack Davies, Bianca Balti, Garrett Neff, Jeneil Williams, Natasha Poly and Lakshmi Menon.

Karl Lagerfeld has released the trailer for his newest project. It’s a 30 Minute film called “The Tale of a Fairy” and stars his muse Amanda Harlech, models Kristen McMenamy, Freja Beha, Bianca Balti, Baptiste Giabiconi, Brad Koening, Jake Davies, Mark Vanderloo, Oriol Elcacho, Karl’s super-hot bodyguard Sebastien Jondeau, model Seth Kuhlmann and French actress Anna Mouglalis. The film will be presented at the Chanel Cruise 2011 collection in Cap d’Antibes on Monday night.

Some people may be shocked“, Lagerfeld told WWD. There are scenes showing top model Freja Beha Erichsen topless and kissing Chanel ambassador Anna Mouglalis. “It is a movie about an ill-advised use of money which begins with violence and ends with feeling,” Lagerfeld explained. In the 90 second short Kate Moss is captured in scenes from her glamorous life; in her Paris dressing room, pushing through a paparazzi scrum, getting dressed in the backseat of her car and applying Dior Addict lipstick. Moss wears No. 578 Dior Kiss.

Anna Wintour Revealed” the documentary profile of Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour by Bloomberg TV was released online and you can watch the full length film here on MODTV. The film is part of the Bloomberg Game Changers series.

Wintour declined to participate in the filming, but the revealing 30 minute fashion film gives a great history of Anna’s career and her impact on the world of fashion.  The film includes interviews with RJ Cutler, director of The September Issue, Tom Florio former publishing director of Vogue; Chuck Townsend, chief executive officer of Conde Nast Publications Inc.; fashion designer Vera Wang; Ed Nardoza, editor-in-chief of Women’s Wear Daily; Emily Rafferty, president of the Metropolitan Museum of Art; and Patrick Robinson, executive vice president of global design at Gap Inc.

“Bill Cunningham New York”, the documentary film about the on the New York Times’ intrepid street photographer Bill Cunningham hits the silver screen in March 16th and is already getting alot of buzz. The film, directed by Richard Press looks like it’s going to be the fashion film of the year.

“We all get dressed for Bill,” says Vogue Editor Anna Wintour. The “Bill” in question is 80+ New York Times photographer Bill Cunningham. For decades, this Schwinn-riding cultural anthropologist has been obsessively and inventively chronicling fashion trends and high society charity soirées for the Times Style section in his columns “On the Street” and “Evening Hours.”

One of the most fashionable women in the world, Vogue Editor Anna Dello Russo indulges a cross-dressing fantasy to star in and style the cheeky ADRESSCODE. A joint project between the Vogue Japan Editor-at-Large and her longtime colleague and friend, art director Marco Braga, the fashion film was conceptualized for the multimedia exhibition Men in Italy, which runs alongside the fall 2011 menswear shows and features the work of 20 creative couples.

“I like to mix references,” says Braga of the androgyny-themed short, whose title is a play on Dello Russo’s initials. “It’s everything from Stanley Kubrick to Madonna’s ‘Justify My Love’ video.” The film debuted yesterday on Nowness.
