The campaign, photographed by Steven Meisel celebrates real beauty and features ordinary people from  ages 18 – 82. “It’s about bringing a sense of reality to fashion to show that the lofty world of high style is not as unattainable as it seems”, said Alber Elbaz, creative director of Lanvin.

“Fashion doesn’t look good only on models, it can look good on different people of different ages and different body shapes,” designer Alber Elbaz said. “We didn’t think there would be such a big talk because we just did it and we thought let’s try to work with real people. Let’s do street casting, let’s work with different men and women of different ages and see what comes out of it.”

The Versace Fall 2011 collection was one of the season’s standout collections at Milan Fashion Week.

Designer Donatella Versace went back to the roots of the house, using the baroque tulip which was one of her brother Gianni Versace’s favorite flowers. It was a strong show from every point from the medusa buttons to peep toe boots to the military styling that is sure to be a huge trend for fall. The show had a sense of nostalgia about it as the show was held at Via Gesu – the location where her brother Gianni Versace did all his fashion shows.

Featuring interviews with Hilary Alexander, Mario Testino, Oribe, Susie Bubble, and top models Arizona Muse, Lindsey Wixson and Natasha Poly.
