DSquared2 Fall 2012 Backstage

Get the gorgeous beauty look that makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury and hairstylist Sam McKnight created for the DSquared2 Fall 2012 collection that was inspired by the 60’s and the icon of today, Lana Del Rey. Makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury gave the girls a gorgeous supermodel brow, and used thick black liner to create a wing. She poured on the mascara and added two layers of lashes. Charlotte finished off the look using MAC Spice Lip liner and FleshPot lipstick to give the girls that sexy Lana del Rey pout. “It’s all about the feline eye, the pouty lip and the lash“.

DSquared2 fashion shows are always one of the best shows of Milan Fashion Week. Dean & Dan always stage a show that is entertaining and full of beautiful clothes that you actually want to own and wear. The concept behind their Fall 2012 fashion show is a 60’s ‘Back to School’ high school prom. As the boys told us backstage, “these are rich kids with a bad attitude“.

Alexander McQueen Fall 2012 Backstage

Watch our exclusive Alexander McQueen Fall 2012 backstage beauty video with makeup artist Peter Philips, hair stylist Guido Palau. This Alexander McQueen Fall 2012 collection designed by Sarah Burton was breath taking and magical and it looked like a haute couture collection. The Alexander McQueen Fall 2012 show was bold, futuristic and outer-worldly beautiful.

Hair stylist Guido Palau explained the look was manga inspired, “the feeling of the show is that beautiful, powerful McQueen woman but this time she is more futuristic”. All the models looked alike – each had a platinum blonde wig and each girl wore a mirrored silver visor that covered up almost the whole face.

Makeup artist Peter Philips gave the models beautiful, pure, alabaster ivory skin using Chanel Mat Lumiere foundation. As Peter explained “you can feel the face through the visor, but you don’t really see one”.

“It’s definitely art” actress Salma Hayek told me after the show. “It takes you somewhere special, you never know where she (Sarah) is going to take you, it’s ethereal, it really transports you somewhere”.

We’re in love with the beauty look Pat McGrath created for this show – the focus was on the eyes. Pat used thick layers of cobalt blue mascara. As Stella McCartney explained backstage she wanted “a pop of color on the eyes” to compliment the luxurious, rich blue in the collection. Prada Fall 2012 Ad Campaign

Prada’s autumn 2012 campaign is set on futuristic vision of fantasy and desire. It has been shot by Steven Meisel, and features models Elza Luijendijk, Vanessa Axente, Iselin Steiro, and Madison Headrick.

It is an abstract video placed in Miuccia Prada’s Fall 2012 show’s ‘virtual princess’ theme. We love the way Steven has got glimpses of the collection, and still managed to hold the viewers interest with the models playing an intense game of chess.

Versace Fall 2012: Gothic Goddesses

Donatella Versace electrified the audience at her Versace Fall 2012 collection in Milan with a collection that was a gothic, hard-core sexy and gave homage in part to her late brother Gianni Versace’s last collection in 1997.

This show perfectly captures the mood of the moment, “the Gothic Goddess” a tough, strong woman inspired by actress Rooney Mara, the star of the film ‘The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’. Hair stylist Guido Palau gave the models short cropped bangs in the spirit of Joan of Arc. That severe, stunning look was offset by artist Pat McGrath‘s dark smoky eye makeup and bleached brows. It was powerful, sexy and defiant.

Donatella hit the mark with this collection; it screamed confidence, from the armorlike corsets; the chain mail pieces and the encrusted crosses, it was stunning. Designer Christopher Kane and fashion editor and model Anja Rubik spoke to us after the show in this exclusive fashion video.

The theme of the new campaign is Cabaret and in this exclusive behind the scenes video shot in Paris, Georgia explains why she loves working with the iconic brand that combines British cool and LA freedom.

Hudson Jeans is celebrating 10 years and according to Hudson Jeans Founder and CEO, Peter Kim, “It has been a magical ride to get to this point. It an incredible milestone; however, we are nowhere near the end of our journey. Our mission and vision have never been clearer. Incredible denim is our tool to enrich people’s lives.
