Romantic and vibrant, is the only way to describe the stunning look of Dior for Fall 2010. Designer John Galliano was inspired by the 17th century and the movie the Libertines by Johnny Depp.

Backstage makeup artist Pat McGrath gave the models flushed cheeks, and Orlando Pita teased the models hair to the extreme creating a slightly frizzy finish that formed a halo like effect around the head. The result was simply stunning. One of our favorite top models Karlie Kloss opens the show. Watch our fashion video and go backstage.

British Designer John Galliano opened the Fall 2010 Haute Couture Collections in Paris today with his dazzling, technicolor floral-inspired collection for Dior. The show was exotic explosion of color like we’ve never seen before.

Galliano’s inspiration was gardens and flowers, and that theme was felt in every detail right down to the models towering ‘peony’ hairdos, each were encased in cellophane wrapping just like a bunch of flowers, thanks to the genius work of milliner Stephen Jones. Galliano said the show was inspired in part by photographer Irving Penn and the beautiful garden of Christian Dior’s childhood home.
