The ‘Romeo and Juliet” inspired shoot was styled by Harper’s Bazaar Global Fashion Director  Carine Roitfeld and photographed by Max von Gumppenberg was made with the creative direction of Stephen Gan.

Watch the sneak preview of Mademoiselle C the documentary film about former Vogue Paris Editor Carine Roitfeld.  The film, directed by Fabien Constant will be released theatrically during New York Fashion Week on September 11th and features some of the fashion world’s hottest names including Karl Lagerfeld, Donatella Versace, Tom Ford, Mario Testino, Riccardo Tisci, Diane Von Furstenberg, and Alexander Wang.

Mademoiselle C chronicles Carine’s launch of her new magazine CR Fashion Book. It gives a rare inside glimpse at the inner workings not only of Roitfeld’s professional world but also her personal life. It is a film about transition, letting the audience watch as Carine moves to New York, starts a new business, and prepares to become a grandmother. And of course, its filled the the models, celebrities, and eccentric personalities that make the fashion world so entertaining. Here’s a sneak preview.

MILA KUNIS stars in the new Miss Dior Campaign for Fall Winter 2012, photographed by Mario Sorrenti. Kunis is captured in a scene she knows all too well – swarmed by the papparazzi. The black and white Miss Dior accessories campaign was shot in New York City and has look of old Hollywood glamour about it.

Backstage at the shoot Mila explained why she wanted to work with the house of Dior for a second season.

What attracted me to Dior I think was the idea of being a part of a lineage that is so admired and looked up to,” she said. “They’re very consistant with their designs; you see a Dior dress, you know it’s a Dior dress. They’re very classic, very consistent, really elegant and really beautiful.

The 28-year-old also adores photographer Mario Sorrenti, who shot her for the campaign – which was styled by Carine Roitfeld.

Mario is one of the best photographers I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with, ever,” she said. “There’s a sense that’s very organic, and he captures really beautiful moments. He’s an amazing photographer.

 

Chanel – The Little Black Jacket Exhibit is coming to New York on June 8 – 15th. Karl Lagerfeld, Chanel’s Creative Director has teamed up with Carine Roitfeld, the reigning queen of French style and former Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Paris, to showcase Chanel’s latest project, an exhibition. “The Little Black Jacket” exhibition is a display of 113 stunning photographs of different celebrities and known personalities wearing the black iconic Chanel tweed jacket.

The exhibition is actually a preview of Karl and Carine’s book ‘’The Little Black Jacket: Chanel’s classic revisited”, which will come out in the Fall 2012. It features 113 stunning photographs of celebrities wearing the iconic black Chanel tweed jacket.

The infamous Chanel tweed jacket was designed by Coco Chanel in the 1950’s and since then has been a fundamental piece at the fashion house. A timeless piece that symbolizes style and luxury, the black Chanel jacket retails between $7,000-$24,000.

The photographs in the exhibition were shot in only 6 days by Karl Lagerfeld himself in Paris, with the help of Carine Roitfeld. Some of the faces include Sarah Jessica Parker who wore the Chanel jacket with a gold crown headpiece and a skinny black pencil skirt. Alice Dellal wore it with a fishnet shirt under a biker jacket. While Kanye West wore it with a grey shirt and a bunch of hippy necklaces.

Watch a sneak preview of Carine Roitfeld Documentary ‘Mademoiselle C’. Carine Roitfield’s highly anticipated new bi-annual fashion magazine CR will be the subject of a fly-on-the-wall fashion documentary, “Mademoiselle C“.  Director Fabien Constant has been granted unprecedented access to Roitfeld’s private and professional life.

Confirmed interviews include Tom Ford, Karl Lagerfeld and Donatella Versace and a host of other stars and fashion world personalities are expected to crop up too.  Shooting has already begun and the film is being distributed by Elle Driver in Paris. The documentary will be previewed at the Cannes Film Festival this week according to Screen Daily.

Director Fabien Constant recently captured Carine Roitfeld for this short for W Magazine called “The Client” – the 12 minute short gives a revealing insight to the kind of fun film we can expect.

Givenchy Fall 2011 Ad Campaign has top models Naomi Campbell, Natalia Vodianova, Mariacarla Boscono roaring for the lens of photographers Mert and Marcus Piggott. The wild campaign was styled by Carine Roitfeld and Panos Yiapanis, Makeup by Lucia Perroni and hair by Luigi Murenu.

Carine Roitfeld, the influential editor of Paris Vogue announced today she is resigning to pursue personal projects. Roitfeld is a fashion icon known for her fierce style and in her 10 years as editor-in-chief made Paris Vogue one of the most cutting edge titles in fashion. A trend setter and the undisputed star of the front row at fashion week, the news about Roitfeld’s departure was made today on the Paris Vogue website.

Roitfeld is leaving to pursue personal projects, reports Vogue UK. In a telephone interview with the New York Times’ Cathy Horyn, Roitfeld explained: “It’s 10 years that I’m editor of the magazine. I think it’s time to do something different.”

A former model, Carine Roitfeld worked as as stylist and muse to designer Tom Ford when he was at Gucci and YSL and they remain close personal friends.

Fresh on the heels of launching his first women’s collection, Tom Ford guest edited Paris Vogue’s December 2010 issue. Already the rumors are flying that Carine will join forces with Ford when she leaves Paris Vogue in January 2011. We can’t wait to see what’s next.
