The exhibition is actually a preview of Karl and Carine’s book ‘’The Little Black Jacket: Chanel’s classic revisited”, which will come out in the Fall 2012. It features 113 stunning photographs of celebrities wearing the iconic black Chanel tweed jacket.

The infamous Chanel tweed jacket was designed by Coco Chanel in the 1950’s and since then has been a fundamental piece at the fashion house. A timeless piece that symbolizes style and luxury, the black Chanel jacket retails between $7,000-$24,000.

The photographs in the exhibition were shot in only 6 days by Karl Lagerfeld himself in Paris, with the help of Carine Roitfeld. Some of the faces include Sarah Jessica Parker who wore the Chanel jacket with a gold crown headpiece and a skinny black pencil skirt. Alice Dellal wore it with a fishnet shirt under a biker jacket. While Kanye West wore it with a grey shirt and a bunch of hippy necklaces.

Go behind the scenes and watch the making of the Little Black Jacket featuring Georgia May Jagger, Alice Dallal and Sarah Jessica Parker.
