In Milan, designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana perfectly capture the fragrant beauty and magic of summer with their D&G Spring 2011 Collection. The show was exploding with flowers and models looked like they were walking in a pretty English garden. Floral prints are one of the major trends of the summer season and the wedge platforms are on our “must have” list. Go backstage with designers Dean & Dan Caten at DSquared2 Spring Summer 2011 collection in Milan. As they explained to us backstage “it’s boy meets girl”. There’s masculine things, feminine things and their new D2 Eyewear collection is the statement. Makeup artist Gordon Espinet used one of our favorite beauty products on the models faces – Mac Cosmetics Mineralized Skinfinish Natural giving them that perfect summer glow. This girl is glammed down, but she’s still sexy. Shop the collection online at DSquared2.Com. Hair by Sam McKnight.

For Spring 2011 Proenza Schouler designers Jack McCullough and Lazaro Hernandez explore their notion of lady dressing and clichéd ideas of classic femininity. From pencil skirts, tweed jackets, and lingerie inspired dresses they presented a collection that was sexy and powerful. The beauty look at the show was also strong and confident – Diane Kendal did a minimal makeup that was bold and slightly androgynous. Paul Hanlon’s slightly undone updo hairstyle that was meant to look believable and touchable. It’s one of our favorite collections of the season. Watch our fashion video and go backstage.
