Calvin Klein Collection Spring 2013 Backstage

Emma Stone takes us backstage at Calvin Klein Collection Spring 2013 designed by Francisco Costa. It’s a sexually charged collection that celebrates the female form. As designer Francisco Costa explained after the show, “I love women’s bodies and I like to celebrate it all the time, it is a celebration and that is how I feel about the clothes”.

It’s that beautiful balance between the modernity and femininity that has so many women in Hollywood loving Costa’s collections. Diane Kruger is a huge fan, “It’s always very simple very contemporary with out it feeling too fashiony…I’m always impressed with his cuts – it always feels very great to wear”. Pat McGrath, the world’s most influential makeup artist shares her top makeup trends for Fall Winter 2013. Every season Pat creates the beauty looks at 25 of the hottest designer shows at fashion week New York, Milan and Paris. A passionate artist and self confessed “makeup junkie”, Pat McGrath is Global Cosmetics Design Director for CoverGirl and MaxFactor, which means the beauty looks she creates at fashion week will be coming soon to a beauty counter near you.

Fall 2013 is about celebrating a woman’s individuality – there are plenty of new cool looks to choose from that you can make your own. From the flawless matte skin at Valentino and Calvin Klein, to the undone glamour at Prada; or the 60′s inspired dramatic flicks for eyes at Anna Sui; Pat McGrath shows us the key beauty looks she created backstage at New York, Milan and Paris Fashion Week.

Prada Spring 2013 Beauty Backstage

Get the hot look of Prada Spring 2013. Check out our Allure Backstage video at Prada Spring 2013 fashion show in Milan with makeup artist Pat McGrath and hairstylist Guido Palau. Intense red lips and a tomboyish French twist brought an edge to Prada’s elegant, Asian influenced collection.

Pat McGrath created manga inspired lip using a matte electric red lipstick – she used CoverGirl Lip Perfection in Hot. For extra pop she used an electric pink cream and pressed that into the center of the lips. Stella McCartney Fall 2013 Beauty Backstage

Stella McCartney Fall 2013 beauty by makeup artist Pat McGrath and hairstylist Eugene Souleiman and go backstage with top models Bette Franke and Aymeline Valade.

The beauty look for Stella McCartney Fall 2013 was minimal but gorgeous. Pat McGrath used mascara in black on top lashes and brown on the bottom ones to emphasize the eyes, “it’s all about a beautiful lash“, Pat said backstage, adding that the look overall was all about groomed eyebrows and perfected skin. “It’s just very Stella, it’s very fresh.”

Hairstylist Eugene Souleiman said he was creating a look for the models that was “more handsome. “What we’re doing is this kind of almost men’s groomed look, but with a matte texture.” He used Wella’s Ocean Spritz Beach Texture Hairspray and the result was just so cool, effortless and chic. See the Paris Haute Couture Spring 2013 and go backstage at Dior, Versace and Giambattista Valli. This fashion video diary by Paris Vogue gives us an exclusive look backstage at the first day of shows including one of the most stunning collections by Raf Simmons for Dior.

The beauty look Pat McGrath and Guido Palau created for Dior was breathtaking. In this video interview Guido Palau said the hair look was inspired by Jean Seaberg, Janet Leigh and iconic actresses of today like Anne Hathaway.

Makeup artist Pat McGrath did a stunning red jeweled mouths on all the models which must have taken hours to do. As she explains, “the girls were coming out of a garden and Raf said he wanted the girls to look like flowers in a modern way. We did a shimmer on top of the eyes. Really it was about the burnt orange, pinks and rose colored encrusted mouths“. The Dior show was beyond beautiful as actress Jessica Alba admitted after the show “it was beautiful, sexy and modern”.
