John Galliano’s fashion shows are always spectacular, and his Menswear collection for Spring|Summer 2011 is another cinematic, visual feast. The collection was inspired by the silent film star Charlie Chaplin. Here’s video highlights of the show that took place in Paris last night .

DSquared2 Men’s Collection for Spring|Summer 2011 was inspired by the movie classic American Gigilo starring Richard Gere. As Designers Dean and Dan explained in their show notes posted on their website “Get it chic and sleek and back to the street, you better hustle your rent is due…it’s all about “Gere-ing up”.

The Gucci Menswear Collection for Spring|Summer 2011 was inspired in part by the music of the Rolling Stones 60’s classic “Exile on Mainstreet“. Backstage after the show, Designer Frida Giannini said the collection is about “unconventional luxury” and is for a man that describes his soul as a “gypsy deluxe”. “It’s this delicate balance between the formal and unconventional with the free spirited non-chalant attitude“. Last night celebrities from around the world came to Milan to celebrate Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana’s Menswear 20th Anniversary. The red carpet on the Piazza della Scala was rolled out for the who’s who in the fashion and entertainment world. It was a glittering event that kicked of Milan Mens Fashion Week, and took place just hours after the designers had presented their Sicilian inspired Mens Collection for Spring 2011.
Dolce & Gabbana welcomed friends from around the world, among them, Annie Lennox, Monica Belluci, Morgan Freeman, Juliette Binoche, David Gandy, Eva Herzigova and Rachel Weisz. What an incredible night!
