Allure Backstage Jason Wu Spring 2013 backstage beauty video. Jason Wu Spring 2013 backstage beauty look by makeup artist Diane Kendal and hair stylist Odile Gilbert was sexy and elegant. Photographer Helmut Newton was the inspiration for Jason Wu Spring 2013 Collection, one of the hottest shows at New York Fashion Week.

Hair stylist Odile Gilbert used Kérastase Elixir Ultime Oléo-Complexe to give her sleek, braided updos shine and a sense of chic elegance and sophistication. As she explained backstage the look of Jason Wu Spring 2013 is “Expensive and elegant, but not vulgar, updos with a masculine side and feminine side.”

“She’s a very strong, sexy woman—very bold,” makeup artist Diane Kendal said of the fierce brows and vibrant red mouth she created. Kendal used a combination of six products to create the “very bright, feminine lip,”. She applied M.A.C. Lip Pencil in Cherry to the entire mouth, then darkened the outer edges with M.A.C. Lip Pencil in Vino.

Go backstage at Missoni Spring Summer 2012 with designer Angela Missoni and get the look of this sexy, colorful Mediterranean inspired collection. “It’s alot of fun – we’re back to sexy”, Margherita Missoni told me backstage before the show.

The models were supposed to look like they had been dancing all night, so artist Lucia Pieroni used Mac highlighter to give the models that sexy glow. Really big bushy eye brows and a nude lip with a little bit of shine finished the look – the result was gorgeous. Hair stylist Eugene Souleiman used several styling products by Wella to give the models a three day old “dirty, sexy look”. “This is not a pristine woman, this is a woman who lives,” Eugene explained backstage.

Nicki Minaj wasn’t the only one blown away by Prabal Gurung’s sexy Spring Summer 2012 Collection in New York. We agree – this was one powerful fashion show. As Prabal explained to me backstage “It’s sexy, tough, confident and at the same time sensual“.

Prabal Gurung’s collection is exploding with color and the show was inspired by Nobuyoshi Araki sensual flowers series which Prabal incorporated into all those gorgeous prints.

Makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury said Prabal wanted the women to feel powerful and intoxicating which is why she drenched the models lips in five layers of pink, “it’s like a burst of a flower”.
