Allure Backstage – Lanvin Fall 2012 Backstage Beauty Video. The Lanvin Fall 2012 fashion show was one of the most unforgettable nights at Paris Fashion week. Designer Alber Elbaz celebrated his 10th anniversary with the house and so he decided to stage his fall 2012 fashion show and throw a party the same night.

Backstage the mood was also upbeat – Alber wanted the models to have a bold modern look so makeup artist Pat McGrath gave all the girls black winged liner. Guido Palau decided to keep the hair relaxed hair to complement the rich colors and feminine silhouettes seen on the runway. Go behind the scenes with supermodel Heidi Klum as she shoots the cover story for Allure magazine’s May 2012 issue. Klum, a mother of four, shares her secrets about love, life and her secret to beauty, and said confesses she had no issue with posing nude.

“I think you just have to be comfortable in your skin,” said the 38-year old. “But I’m a nudist in any case, I’ve never had a problem with my body and I don’t really care what people think.”

Allure Backstage – Prada Fall 2012 Backstage Beauty Video. Go backstage at Prada Fall 2012 with top model Natasha Poly to see the look makeup artist Pat McGrath and hairstylist Guido Palau created for the show that was simply out of this world. As Pat explained to me backstage, “Mrs Prada was talking about the girls looking like virtual princesses. So we’ve done makeup from another world. We used black cream purple eyeshadow, black eyeliner, white eyeliner, orange cream shadows“. Pat also bleached all the models brows and painted them orange. “The look is alot like Rooney Mara which is quite a huge trend for Fall“.

Miuccia Prada is always pushing fashion forward, but the extreme beauty look Pat McGrath created inspired us to dream, think about the future and to consider how technology is affecting us all.
