Abbey Lee Kershaw talks to us about her band Our Mountain’s new song ‘Devils Banquet’ and their new campaign film introducing the Pierre Balmain 2012 Collection. Directed by Inez and Vinoodh, the film features pieces from the Pierre Balmain women’s and men’s collection worn by top model Abbey Lee and her boyfriend, Our Mountain front man Matthew Hutchinson.

The new Pierre Balmain diffusion line includes both menswear and womenswear, featuring everything from t-shirts and jeans to suits and evening wear and will be sold in over 700 stores across the globe. We caught up with Abbey Lee backstage at the Balmain Spring 2012 show in Paris and here’s what she had to say about shooting the video for this hot new collection. To shop go to Balmain.Com. Watch the full length film of the Making of the Pirelli Calendar 2011 shot by photographer Karl Lagerfeld. “Mythology” is the theme of the calendar as Lagerfeld was inspired by Greek mythology and cast his models as gods and goddesses. As Daria Werbowy admits in the film “..you have to be a warrior to be a model..and we are kind of like unearthly human beings“.

The 2011 Pirelli Calendar was shot at Lagerfeld’s studio in Paris and features supermodels Daria Werbowy, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Ana Rubik, Erin Wasson, Isabeli Fontana, Lara Stone, Magdalena Frackowiak, Brad Kroenig, Baptiste Giabiconi, Heidi Mount, Elisa Sednoui, Freja Beha, Iris Strubegger, Jack Davies, Bianca Balti, Garrett Neff, Jeneil Williams, Natasha Poly and Lakshmi Menon. Abbey Lee Kershaw debuts her new Rock Band

Abbey Lee Kershaw’s new band “Our Mountain’ made their debut in London last week. The band is fronted by her boyfriend Matthew Hutchinson, who is also a model and is signed to Next Model Management. Their debut single ‘Wooden Hearts’ is out now and their debut album is soon to be released.

Abbey Lee, the face of Gucci’s ‘Flora’ fragrance, Tom Ford and Versace – joined the band in January, along with bassist Daniel Silvester Taylor- Lind, adding vocals, tambourine and keys to the sound.

Although Abbey Lee is usually known as a fixture on the runways of Milan, Paris and New York, she told the London Telegraph that she feels more at home with the band and on stage performing. “Playing music I become a different person. I think with modelling my job is to be a blank canvas, but with music i don’t feel that way. It’s just me and i’m expressing what i’m feeling at that time.”

The London Telegraph caught up with them in London and shot this exclusive behind the scenes video.

Paris Haute Couture: Chanel Fall 2010

Designer Karl Lagerfeld presented his Chanel Fall 2010 Haute Couture Collection yesterday at the magnificent Grand Palais proving once again he is the undisputed king of fashion. A gigantic gold lion towered over the models as they walked the runway. Like the show, it was simply breath taking. The lion is a replication of a little bronze statue in the Rue Cambon apartment of “Coco” Chanel, who was born under the sign of Leo.

Karl’s Chanel couture collection was rich, opulent and full of gold touches. The world’s hottest top models walked in the show including Karl’s current favorite Abbey Lee Kershaw. Here is the video.
