In Paris we get an exclusive look backstage at John Galliano Spring 2012 with makeup artist Pat McGrath, hairstylist Orlando Pita and top models Karlie Kloss, Miranda Kerr and Constance Jablonski.   The beauty look was inspired by silent movie star Mary Pickford, so Pat used sepia blush on the cheeks and paled out the models skin with light foundation to make the girls look "sweet and innocent".

This was a confident first collection for Galliano's new Creative Director Bill Gaytten, and he stayed true to the brand's feminine aesthetic.  Gaytten worked along side  John Galliano for over 23 years, so he knows how the Galliano girl wants to look and feel. Jason Wu kicks off New York Spring 2012 Fashion week with a collection that the designer said was "inspired by pop art meets couture shapes". The beauty look of the show was powerful. "I wanted a really beautiful clean face with this a bright pop of orangy red color" he explained to us backstage. "It's about an image, a vision, a look, it's about the experience, that is fashion for me". One of First Lady Michele Obama's favorite designers, Jason Wu described his Fall 2011 Collection as "baroque meets sportswear". Backstage Jason told us he was inspired by Robert Polidori's book that documented the restoration of Versailles over a period of 25 years. He brought that influence into every part of his stunning Fall 2011 show from the 24 carat gold leaf he put the in the models hair to the gold shimmer on the eyes.  The beauty look for the collection was full on glamour.  Top Model Karlie Kloss takes us backstage. Designer John Galliano was inspired by the 17th century and the movie the Libertines by Johnny Depp. Backstage makeup artist Pat McGrath gave the models flushed cheeks, and Orlando Pita teased the models hair to the extreme creating a slightly frizzy finish that formed a halo like effect around the head.
