New York based German born photographer Anna Bauer spent the last four years shooting the world's top fashion personalities backstage at the shows in Paris, Milan, London and New York using a heavy large-format camera and black-and-white Polaroid. The result is her new portrait book, ANNA BAUER BACKSTAGE published by Angelika Books, designed by Fabien Baron with an introduction by Style.Com's Editor at Large, Tim Blanks.

We went behind the scenes with Anna Bauer at Spring 2012 fashion week in Paris, and captured her in action shooting portraits of top models Miranda Kerr and Karmen Pedearu. Featuring interviews with Fabien Baron, Tim Blanks, photographers Sean Cunningham, Bardot and Valentino brand Ambassador Carlos Souza.

This is the first time Italian fashion photographer Mario Sorrenti has shot the Pirelli Calendar, one of the most anticipated calendars of the year. Filmed entirely location in the gorgeous island of Corsica, Mario Sorrenti intimately captures the raw beauty of these women in a wild, natural setting.  The Making of Pirelli Calendar 2012 was directed by Stuart Chapman, and produced by Utopia Films.

"Mythology" is the theme of the calendar as Lagerfeld was inspired by Greek mythology and cast his models as gods and goddesses. As Daria Werbowy admits in the film "..you have to be a warrior to be a model..and we are kind of like unearthly human beings".

The 2011 Pirelli Calendar was shot at Lagerfeld's studio in Paris and features supermodels Daria Werbowy, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Ana Rubik, Erin Wasson, Isabeli Fontana, Lara Stone, Magdalena Frackowiak, Brad Kroenig, Baptiste Giabiconi, Heidi Mount, Elisa Sednoui, Freja Beha, Iris Strubegger, Jack Davies, Bianca Balti, Garrett Neff, Jeneil Williams, Natasha Poly and Lakshmi Menon. Watch the hottest top models at Milan and Paris Fall 2011 Fashion week rock it in another music video directed by Paris based photographer Justin Wu. This awesome original fashion film was filmed behind the scenes at the top Men's shows and edited by photographer Justin Wu in association with Tommy Ton's Jak and Jil Blog. Tommy Ton is a fellow Canadian, and one of the hottest street-style photographers on the planet who shoots for GQ and Style.Com.

This is the forth installment of Justin Wu's original fashion-music video series (check out the rest on his website or Vimeo channel) and we are a huge fan. They really capture the spirit and energy of all the models backstage. The track the boys are lip-syncing is "Bohemian Like You" by the Dandy Warhols available on iTunes. We LOVE THIS! One of the most influential fashion bloggers of our time Scott Schuman, aka, The Sartorialist reaches over 70,000 readers a day. This film (sponsored by Intel) gives a revealing look at Schuman's view of fashion, photography and blogging. Schuman explains growing up he never dreamed about being a photographer, and that the way he shoots is very "instinctual". He explains "the internet is the world shrinking.. and it's given us a digital parkbench".   This film was directed by Tyler Manson.

This is a rare treat, being able to watch a shoot by photographer Steven Meisel that's been captured on video. Meisel is one of the world's hottest fashion photographers, and a regular contributor to Vogue Italia and Vogue USA. He never lets anyone shoot him on camera, and rarely lets any video crews on any of his sets. But perhaps now that Vogue Italia now has a hot new website, Vogue.it, it looks like the legendary photographer has had a change of heart.

A genius storyteller, for the June edition of Vogue Italia Steven Meisel looks to the wilderness for inspiration and shoots the story "Wild Is the Wind" with supermodel Eva Herzigova. It's a styled by Meisel's favorite beauty team - hairstylist Julien d'Ys and makeup artist Pat McGrath.

Everything Steven Meisel shoots is magic, and this one has a raw, enchanting mood about it. What can we say except we love it. Check out Vogue Italia's new website, the art direction is stunning and it's on our daily must read list.
