Dior Fall 2010 Backstage

Romantic and vibrant, is the only way to describe the stunning look of Dior for Fall 2010. Designer John Galliano was inspired by the 17th century and the movie the Libertines by Johnny Depp. Backstage makeup artist Pat McGrath gave the models flushed cheeks, and Orlando Pita teased the models hair to the extreme creating a slightly frizzy finish that formed a halo like effect around the head. The model casting really influenced the beauty look that makeup artist Pat McGrath and hairstylist Guido created. Lanvin Fall 2010 Backstage

There is probably no other designer in the world who perfectly captures the mood of the season than Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz. For Fall 2010 that meant projecting an image of femininity and strength. Hairstylist Guido Palau's iconic black wigs and Pat McGrath's dark smouldering eyes gave the models a uniform sensual look. Everything about this show was exotic, intoxicating and beautiful. Alber Elbaz told us he was making a statement about individuality, about women around the world all looking the same.  He was posing the question,  "Do you like what you see when everyone has the same look?".
