Allure Backstage - Alexander McQueen Spring 2013 Backstage Beauty Video. Get the look of Alexander McQueen Spring 2013 and go backstage with makeup artist Peter Philips and hair stylist Guido Palau.  Netted hats masked the models' faces at Alexander McQueen, but beneath was gorgeous, flawless skin - a look that is becoming the houses signature.

As makeup artist Peter Philips explained to me backstage, "You could almost call it a signature McQueen look. We did the girls really pure - a perfect skin using Chanel Mat Lumiere, a matte finish foundation that has a velvety texture.  The look Peter created was a beautiful canvas for the netting - the beekeeper hats that all the models wore.

Allure Backstage Marc Jacobs Spring 2013 Backstage Beauty Video. Go backstage at Marc Jacobs Spring 2013 with makeup artist Francois Nars and hairstylist Guido Palau at New York Fashion week. 60's icon Edie Sedgwick was the inspiration of the Marc Jacobs show. THE LOOK: Mod liner, strong brows and teased hair.

As Francois Nars explained backstage "We came up with an updated version of the '60s look that Edie Sedgwick, the Andy Warhol superstar, was doing for herself. To make it fresh, we took out the heaviness of her look, we took out the eyelashes, but we kept the essence of it: thick eyebrows and black-and-white, very monochromatic makeup."

The hair look Guido Palau created was all about a voluminous, teased ponytail. Guido spritzed the hair with Redken Guts mousse, made a deep side part, and rough-dried it. For lift at the crown, he used Redken Quick Tease at the roots. After gathering the hair into a ponytail, Guido pulled out little pieces of hair right before the show started, "so it feels like she's slept in it."

This show is Miuccia Prada's most personal collection to date and the 50's inspired looks are one of the hottest trends of the season. There is probably no other designer in the world who perfectly captures the mood of the season than Lanvin designer Alber Elbaz. For Lanvin Fall 2010 Collection that meant projecting an image of femininity and strength. Hairstylist Guido Palau's iconic, manga inspired black wigs and Pat McGrath's dark smouldering eyes gave the models a uniform sensual look.

Everything about this show was exotic, intoxicating and beautiful. Alber Elbaz told us he was making a statement about individuality, about women around the world all looking the same.  He was posing the question,  "Do you like what you see when everyone has the same look?".

Marc Jacobs Spring 2010 Collection for Louis Vuitton was fun, young and inspired by new age travelers. The show was over the top - all the models wore gigantic Afros and they looked like accessory-obessed cyber club kids. Jacobs understands what style is about, and knows how to connect with a global audience. For the the first time he streamed the Louis Vuitton runway show live on the LV Facebook page. After the show backstage Katy Perry told us she loves his style - "everything he does is so fresh, Marc is a staple for me" Hair by Guido, Maekup by Pat McGrath.

As Designer Marc Jacobs told us backstage at his Louis Vuitton show in Paris "life is a blast.. so you might as well enjoy it". It's that upbeat, positive energy that Jacobs so perfectly captures in his collection for Fall 2009.   Inspired by some of the world's most famous French female icons, Pat McGrath gave the models a look that was part Brigitte Bardot and part Playboy Bunny.
