Fendi Spring 2013 Backstage

Go backstage at Fendi Spring 2013 with designer Karl Lagerfeld, top model Cara Delevingne, makeup artist Peter Philips and hairstylist Sam McKnight.

Karl Lagerfeld always puts on a great show and his Fendi collections are always so modern, fresh and young. The inspiration for Fendi Spring 2013 was Memphis – the huge furniture movement of the 1980′s. To capture that spirt hair stylist Sam McKnight created sharp aerodynamic hair that perfectly complimented the geometric clothes.

Peter Philips makeup brief was to include the colors of the collection, so he used the fabrics from the collection and glued it under the eyes. As designer Karl Lagerfeld explained backstage after the show “It’s a total look. I have a vision – I have so many references in my mind – it’s like a huge Google storage in my mind, it’s just something I felt. It’s something very Italian, very Milano“.

Calvin Klein Collection Spring 2013 Backstage

Emma Stone takes us backstage at Calvin Klein Collection Spring 2013 designed by Francisco Costa. It’s a sexually charged collection that celebrates the female form. As designer Francisco Costa explained after the show, “I love women’s bodies and I like to celebrate it all the time, it is a celebration and that is how I feel about the clothes”.

It’s that beautiful balance between the modernity and femininity that has so many women in Hollywood loving Costa’s collections. Diane Kruger is a huge fan, “It’s always very simple very contemporary with out it feeling too fashiony…I’m always impressed with his cuts – it always feels very great to wear”. Karl Lagerfeld Goes Global for Chanel Fall 2013 Show

“Globalization” was the theme of Karl Lagerfeld’s Chanel Fall 2013 show, one of the most exciting fashion shows of Paris Fashion Week.

As fashion editors and celebrity guests including Jessica Chastain, Mila Jovovitch and Vanessa Paradis entered the Grand Palais they were all awe-struck by of the magnificent 25-meter-high globe in the center of the room. The softly spinning planet was dotted with Chanel’s iconic double C logo flags, marking the 300 locations where Chanel now has free standing boutiques in the world – a celebration of Chanel’s 100 years in fashion and a testament to the power of this French luxury brand.

Chanel Spring 2013 by Karl Lagerfeld was the hot ticket of Paris fashion week. The show was staged at the magnificent Grand Palais des Champs-Elysées, one of the most historic sites in France. From giant icebergs to the apocalypse, the themes of the sets are always extraordinary. At Chanel you can expect to see an unforgettable fashion show and a look that pushes fashion forward.

For Chanel Spring 2013 Karl Lagerfeld brought a whole new energy and vibe - installing 12 giant wind turbines with a solar panel runway to make his point that it’s time for a new mood of ease. With models wearing almost 100 different looks, there was an atmosphere of serenity and tranquility on the enormous runway. The Chanel Spring 2013 collection was fresh, airy, light and modern.

As Karl explained after the show he wanted a Chanel collection that “you could identify in a second”, but there were no braids, bows, no chains and no logos in sight. The show was incredibly optimistic and the set underscored Karl’s vision of the future. “It’s all about energy”. The king of the sexy stilletto, Italian shoe guru Giuseppe Zanotti gives us an exclusive look at his Fall 2013 Shoe Collection. His private invitation only press presentation at Milan Fashion week is a ‘must see’ event for the world’s fashion editors, models and celebrity clients like Janet Jackson.

Get the hot look of Prada Spring 2013. Check out our Allure Backstage video at Prada Spring 2013 fashion show in Milan with makeup artist Pat McGrath and hairstylist Guido Palau. Intense red lips and a tomboyish French twist brought an edge to Prada’s elegant, Asian influenced collection.

Pat McGrath created manga inspired lip using a matte electric red lipstick – she used CoverGirl Lip Perfection in Hot. For extra pop she used an electric pink cream and pressed that into the center of the lips. DSquared2 designers Dean and Dan Caten were inspired by the 90′s supermodel Linda Evangelista and photographs by Peter Lindbergh shot in 1991. As Cara Delevingne told us backstage before opening the show working with Dean and Dan is a dream, ’”It’s just about being sexy – they always want alot of energy, and they just give it and your bring it – it’s real team work“.

The beauty look created by makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury and hair stylist Sam McKnight perfectly captured the look of supermodel 90′s glamour. As Charlotte explained backstage the DSquared2 Spring 2013 makeup look, “is very Peter Lindbergh 90′s – it’s an almond smoky eye with a strong arched brow, contoured face with Mac Spice Lip Liner and Fleshpot Beige lips“. Sam wanted the hair to look modern so he made it shiny and super straight. The result was stunning – the girls looked sexy, cool and superhot.
