Chanel Spring 2013 by Karl Lagerfeld was the hot ticket of Paris fashion week. The show was staged at the magnificent Grand Palais des Champs-Elysées, one of the most historic sites in France. From giant icebergs to the apocalypse, the themes of the sets are always extraordinary. At Chanel you can expect to see an unforgettable fashion show and a look that pushes fashion forward.

For Chanel Spring 2013 Karl Lagerfeld brought a whole new energy and vibe - installing 12 giant wind turbines with a solar panel runway to make his point that it’s time for a new mood of ease. With models wearing almost 100 different looks, there was an atmosphere of serenity and tranquility on the enormous runway. The Chanel Spring 2013 collection was fresh, airy, light and modern.

As Karl explained after the show he wanted a Chanel collection that “you could identify in a second”, but there were no braids, bows, no chains and no logos in sight. The show was incredibly optimistic and the set underscored Karl’s vision of the future. “It’s all about energy”. Get the hot look of Prada Spring 2013. Check out our Allure Backstage video at Prada Spring 2013 fashion show in Milan with makeup artist Pat McGrath and hairstylist Guido Palau. Intense red lips and a tomboyish French twist brought an edge to Prada’s elegant, Asian influenced collection.

Pat McGrath created manga inspired lip using a matte electric red lipstick – she used CoverGirl Lip Perfection in Hot. For extra pop she used an electric pink cream and pressed that into the center of the lips. Marc Jacobs Fall 2013 backstage beauty with makeup artist Francois Nars and hair stylist Guido Palau and top models Cara Delevingne, Magdelena Frackiowiak, Jessica Stam, photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.

The beauty look of Marc Jacobs for Fall 2013 “It’s a very underground, cool-girl look, but still very sophisticated“, makeup artist Francois Nars explained backstage at the show. “Marc always wants the girl to look sexy no matter what. He likes when the makeup looks a little destroyed“.

The hair look by stylist Guido Palau was inspired in part by a cut he had done on top model Edie Campbell for Vogue Magazine. Guido gave all the models haircuts like 80′s rock icon Joan Jett, “Marc was also referencing a girl in the 90′s called Kim Pierce who had a similar haircut – and then we got into Joan Jett and people like that. Marc liked the whole idea of deconstructing the glam he produced in his clothes”.

As Tommy explains the internet and the digital age has given people the chance to become a working professional overnight, “the fashion show is the new red carpet, everybody wants to be a part of this world, it’s not so exclusive anymore. With the whole boom of the internet and blogging and twitter, people have become so connected to each other – it’s a community that has grown so fast.”

Anthony Vaccarello Spring 2013 Top Models Backstage Video. Anthony Vaccarello is the hot young designer that everyone is talking about at Paris fashion week. One step backstage at Anthony Vaccarello’s Spring 2013 fashion show and you can understand why. It’s buzzing full of excitement and energy because every top model in the world has come here to walk in the show.

Backstage top models Karlie Kloss, Cara Delevingne, Jourdan Dunn, Constance Jablonski and Arizona Muse admit they are here for one reason because they adore Anthony Vaccarello, “we’re the next generation and he is the next generation“. The girls all love Vaccarello’s sexy body-con dresses and his cool urban style.

Anthony Vaccarello’s woman is confident, sexy and strong. Tom Pecheux, Estee Lauder Creative Makeup Director kept the focus on the eyes and used a turquoise blue liner by Estee Lauder Pure Color Stay-on Shadow Paints in Sinister and Steel (comes out January 2013). He added Estee Lauder Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting Mascara black and brown mascara on the top and bottom lashes for extra effect. The look was gorgeous, natural and so desirable – just like Anthony Vacarello’s collection.
